M-Board Balance Trainer Offers 3D Rotation

Published on

The M-Board 1.1 Dynamic Balance Trainer, available from OPTP, Minneapolis, is engineered to enable three-dimensional rotation, rather than just static balance and side-to-side movement. This way, the user must constantly adjust to keep balanced. According to the OPTP website, this develops balance, core and leg strength, and overall proprioception.

The board is designed to deliver the appropriate challenge for all users from beginners to elite athletes, from static balance movements to advanced toe-side and heel-side turns that challenge dynamic balance in all planes, therefore replicating and training for real-life movements, the company says. The board can be used not only to train for extreme sports like skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing, but also for all sports, physical therapy, and personal training, the company notes.

The M-Board 1.1 Dynamic Balance Trainer includes: an M-Board Deck with nonmarking bumpers, an 8.8-pound medicine ball (supports up to 350 pounds), a Ball stand (which holds the ball steady for beginning users), a workout DVD, and an exercise poster.
